Republic Day 2023 Reactions 26 January’ 2023: The country is celebrating 74th Republic Day today. Today, for the first time on this occasion, a tableau of a strong India will be seen on the path of duty. President Draupadi Murmu will take the salute of the parade going out on the 74th Republic Day celebrations from the duty path at 10.30 am today.

Addressing the nation on the eve of the Republic Day, President Murmu said, “We have lived up to the expectations of Babasaheb Ambedkar to a large extent. Gandhiji’s ideals of Sarvodaya are yet to be achieved.” Before the start of the parade, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the National War Memorial where he will pay tribute to the martyrs by offering floral tributes.

The parade will begin with the hoisting of the national flag on the duty path, as well as the President will unfurl the tricolor. After this there will be national anthem with 21 gun salute. For the first time, a 21-gun salute will be given from a 105 mm Indian field gun. This time, the Republic Day parade will have a unique blend of the country’s military power and cultural diversity, which will present a picture of the country’s growing indigenous capabilities, women power and a New India. During the parade, four Mi-17 helicopters of 105 Helicopter Unit will shower flowers on the spectators present on the duty path.

After hoisting the flag on the duty path, President Draupadi Murmu will take the salute of the parade. Parade Commander, Lieutenant General Dheeraj Seth will command the parade. The second-in-command in the parade will be Major General Bhavnish Kumar, Chief of Staff, Delhi Area. He will be followed by proud winners of the highest gallantry awards, including winners of the Param Vir Chakra and the Ashoka Chakra.

Actually, the Republic Day celebrations have started from 23 January. Home Minister Amit Shah started in Port Blair on the birth anniversary of great freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Republic Day celebrations will end on January 30, which is celebrated as Martyr’s Day. The ceremony will be graced by an enthralling performance by Vande Bharatam group of dancers from across the country.
