IPL 2023 New Rules: The long series being played between India and Australia is over and now it is the turn of IPL 2023. The preparations for IPL are at its peak and the camps of the teams have started. The players who were playing against Australia will take rest for a few days and within two to three days all will join their respective teams. The first match of IPL will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans on 31 March. Before this, all the players are about to join the camp. Meanwhile, a lot of changes will also be seen in IPL 2023. Some rules are already in place, in which slight changes have been made, while there are some such rules, which are coming to the fore for the first time. This will increase the excitement during the match even more. But before the matches start and new rules come out, you should know about them in detail so that you do not face any problem during the match. So let’s talk about this today.
IPL 2023
Impact player rule will be included in IPL for the first time
The Impact Player Rule is coming out for the first time during IPL 2023. That is, when the captain announces his playing XI, he will not name 11 but 13 players, such two players will be able to come to the field as impact players and play with their team in the same way as the rest of the players are playing. This time another new rule has come, that is that the captains of all the teams can announce their playing XI after the toss. Till now it used to happen that before the toss, both the captains used to hand over their playing XI, but after winning the toss, the equation used to change, due to which now the teams and their captains will have enough time to change the strategy. In this year’s IPL, the tension between the captains and the team may also increase due to the timing. That is, if a team is not able to complete its quota of 20 overs in the stipulated time, then an over run penalty will be imposed. After this, whatever the number of overs of the team, it will be allowed to have only four fielders outside the 30 yards. Not only this, during the match, if the wicket-keeper does any act, due to which the match is interrupted, then it will be considered as dead ball and five runs will be given to the batting team. If any other fielder also commits a wrongdoing, then five runs will be given to the batting team for that too. The decision of the on-field umpire in this regard will be considered final.

Impact player rule will change the condition of the match
The most interesting rule this time in IPL is the Impact Player Rule. Under this rule, before 14 overs in a 20-over match, the first team can drop any player from its playing XI and include any of the two players already mentioned in the team. This will be such a rule, which can change the condition and direction of the match in a single stroke. But if the match is reduced from 20 overs to 10 overs due to rain or any other interruption, then this rule will not apply. Meanwhile, IPL is going to be of all India type after about three years. That is, all the teams will play one match at their home and the other match at the home of the opposing team. With this, the fans will once again enjoy going to the stadium and watching the match.
