Hail fell at isolated places in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. In UP’s Sonbhadra, 5 people have died due to overflowing drains due to heavy rains. Among those who died, there are three people of the same family including mother and daughter. The bodies of the dead have been mutilated as they fell down the hill with the water of the drain. It is being told that these people had gone to collect wood in the forests, during which they got caught in the overflowing drain due to heavy rains.

Thousands of hectares of ready standing crops have been ruined due to rain and hailstorm in many states. The wheat crop in the fields was getting ready for harvesting, but the rain has also mixed the wheat crop with the soil, due to which the farmer is looking helpless in every situation.
