New Delhi: The court has handed over Manish Sisodia to CBI custody till March 4, BJP had been demanding the resignation of Satyendar Jain and Manish Sisodia for a long time when Manish Sisodia’s name cropped up in the liquor scam. After the arrest of Manish Sisodia by the CBI, the demand for his resignation had gained momentum and the crisis of running 22 ministries of the Delhi government with Arvind Kejriwal was also clearly visible. Today Manish Sisodia tendered his resignation.
Significantly, in the liquor scam case of Delhi Manish Sisodia was arrested by the CBI in the late evening of February 26 after questioning him for 8 hours a day earlier. The CBI got Sisodia’s first medical test done on February 27, after which he was produced in the Rouse Avenue Court. The court has handed over Manish Sisodia to CBI custody till March 4.
Manish Sisodia holds 22 ministries including Education and PWD. The crisis of running 22 ministries was also in front of Kejriwal, out of which Manish Sisodia was looking after the education ministry, PWD ministry and many other important ministries. How will they be run, BJP was constantly asking questions. BJP was also constantly demanding Sisodia’s resignation.

Before Sisodia’s resignation, Delhi BJP spokesperson Harish Khurana had said that now the question arises whether the 22 ministries of the Delhi government will now run from jail. In these 22 ministries, Education Ministry, PWD Ministry are all such special ministries. A constitutional crisis has arisen. Arvind Kejriwal used to say bring a proof against me, I will take immediate action. Today one of your minister Satyendar Jain is in jail, and another minister is in CBI custody.
