In India’s electric car market, there is now a competition to launch an EV at a cheaper or say less than 10 lakhs price. So far only Tata has been able to introduce its Tiago in this segment. At the same time, MG Motor, which has become popular in India with powerful SUVs like Hector, is preparing to launch its small EV car. This car will come in the market under the name of MG Air. The company has not told its price yet, but it is believed that this car will create panic in the Indian market in the price band of Rs 10 lakh.
Some pictures surfaced
Let us tell you that there was a lot of wait for this car in the Auto Expo held this year, but the company did not present it in the expo. Now once again this car is in headlines. Actually some websites have shared some spy pictures of it. In which some things have come to light regarding its interior. The large standing touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster have been given in the dashboard of its cabin.
Base on global platform
Media reports have revealed that the MG Air EV will be based on the same platform as the Air EV available in overseas markets. Its global model is built in China on the Global Small Electric Vehicle platform. However, some changes can be seen in the Air launched in India. It can be as much as Nano or Alto in size.
