Bhopal: IndiGo flight 6E 2407 from Cochin to Delhi was diverted to Bhopal on Friday. In a statement on Friday, the airlines said, a Delhi-bound Indigo flight that flew from Cochin to Delhi was diverted to Bhopal due to a medical emergency. “Indigo flight 6E 2407 from Cochin to Delhi is diverted to Bhopal due to medical emergency. We regret the inconvenience caused to other passengers,” the statement said.

Because of this the flight was diverted

Bhopal airport said in a statement, IndiGo flight from Cochin to Delhi was made to land at Bhopal as a passenger on the flight had a sudden heart attack and required immediate medical attention. After the flight landed, the airport team, without wasting a second, immediately offloaded the passenger and he was safely transferred to the nearest hospital and his life was saved.

Passenger Harish Grover (60 years), who had boarded from Kochi, suddenly developed difficulty in breathing. Because of which he fainted. Harish was going from Cochin to Delhi with three of his relatives. All the three passengers including the patient were dropped at Bhopal airport. With the help of fire staff, the patient was taken to the hospital in 108 ambulance and admitted.

Another flight also had an emergency landing.

Earlier in the day, an Air India Express flight from Calicut to Dammam was diverted to Thiruvananthapuram after it hit the ground during take-off. Officials said a full emergency was declared at the Thiruvananthapuram airport and the plane landed safely. According to officials, Air India Express flight IX 385 on Kozhikode-Dammam route was diverted to Thiruvananthapuram due to suspected tail strike while taking off from Kozhikode airport.

“The aircraft carrying 168 passengers landed safely at Thiruvananthapuram at 12.15 pm and the passengers were disembarked,” the airline said in a statement. “We are making arrangements to send the passengers to Dammam by an alternate flight which is scheduled to take off from Thiruvananthapuram at 3.30 pm today,” the statement said.

Earlier these flights had emergency landing

Earlier on February 4, an Air India Express flight from Abu Dhabi to Calicut landed back at the Abu Dhabi airport after flames were detected in one of the engines shortly after take-off. Similarly, on January 23, an Air India Express flight from Trivandrum to Muscat landed back 45 minutes after take-off due to a technical snag. According to officials, there was a technical fault in the Flight Management System (FMS).

Please tell that in December 2022, a snake was found in the flight of Air India Express going to Dubai. The Air India Express Boeing B-737 flight from Calicut to Dubai took off as per schedule and after landing at the Dubai airport, staff reported a snake on board.
